SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES PSCI 390 Internship (4 credits) should be taken after the first year of studies in the 120 credit bachelor program. In order to register for the Internship and earn credits are asked to: - fill out the Internship Pre-Registration Form. The Internship Pre-Registration Form (available from the Dean’s office r.327) should include the signature of the on-site supervisor; - submit the form (with requested additional information) to the Social Sciences and Humanities Dean’s Office by the 15th of September 2008; - take internship in summer; - register for the PSCI 390 Internship (4 credits) at the Office of Student services during the regular registration period in August – September; - write Analytical Report and submit it to his/her faculty advisor (together with evaluation written by his/her company advisor) by December 1, 2008. To earn 4 credits, the student is expected to work 4 weeks (40 hours per week). The faculty member as Internship advisor will grade the Internship (with Pass/Fail grading option), based on the Analytical Report written by the student and Evaluation written by the on-site supervisor. The student must compose the Analytical Report of 10 to 15 pages about the Internship that will give overview of the company, the field, and the job performance. It will include critical analysis of the company, of the Internship, and a conclusion. The Report and the Evaluation will be submitted to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (Head of the Dean’s Office). |
